Ok.. ill try to explain this.. but its hard enough in Norwegian, and sure as biiip wont be easy'er in English.. lool

I had a Iphone, and i used iMessage on it. everything worked fine with sms/mms and calling, but when the phone went bad, i had to get a new one, and i decided to try out the Samsung Galaxy S2.. great phone and all that, but now i cant receive sms/mms from iPhone users that have iMessage activated.. once they turn it of i can get the sms.

I can receive sms/mms from everyone else that dont have a iPhone.

I tried to put another sim card into my S2, and have the iPhone users txt me on a different number, and didnt receive that either.. the S2 is brand smacking new, bought a new sim card to see if the old one was bad, but nothing works..

So has anyone of you heard of this, or do anyone have a idea how to fix it? or do you find anything on google that i missed?

And please asked if u need more info or anything.. Thanks in advance. .

make sure they are not sending you the messages in i-message ........ its an i-phone only messaging system, like blackberry's BBM

That is true..but the iMessage system is supposed to "read" if it sends to a iPhone or not.. and therfore there should not be a reason to turn it of..
the other thing is, if the said iphone users send me a sms to say my work phone, a old nokia, with iMessage activated, i receive that with no problems.. but with my work sim in the S2, i dont receive it..

And on a other note, the mrs got a S2 at the same day as i did, and she got the same problem..

try putting yer S2 in the microwave for 2 minutes submerged in cooking oil......... it re-programs yer mo-bo on yer fone, then it should work fine then !
make sure it on medium-high power though........... thats critical,

Could make sense, if it wasn't for the fact that two of my friends, that tried this, dont have the number for the mrs stored on the iphone's..

i got the s2 aswell and have had no problems recieving mms/sms from people with or without iMessage.
I would recommend you calling your phone company and talk with the tech support as i've noticed it's often a simple solution to problems like that ( friend of mine worked as a tech support for netcom for a couple of years )
