Booked a holiday for October in the Ayr area.
So guys and gals what is not to be missed on the West Coast of Scotland?

We're over the water from the Isle of Arran, at the Haven Site.

Always interested in castles, impressive natural events like waterfalls, zoos, beaches, buildings etc etc

how ya gettin there ? car ? and if so, which way you be heading ? i loved the A82 (i think it is) takes ya through Glen Coe, onto Fort william, although when we got to fort wiliam it was LASHING DOWN ! couldnt see feck all lol........ but its next to ben nevis, might be worth a detour round there if yer taking yer time to travel up there ?

what ever you do.. don't take your car along the main road at the seafront to the beach in Ayr itself the speed humps are huge and i mean huge..Exhaust and sump material .. Can't help you on places.. only been there a couple times buying a car..


If your ever in or near the summer Isles on the west coast let me know.. I know all there is in that area. Tis truly Gods country there.. If i'm up there at the time i can take you and your family out in the Rib..

Just google mapped the A82,......... scenary looks breathtaking!
Gonna try and sort a drive up to Fort William from Ayr,........... it's a 3 hour drive from where we are though so might start early,...........
Got to try it, 118 miles from where we are. Taking in Loch Lomand, then Glen Coe and Fort William.

There is a distillary at Fort William!

The size of the place is AWESOME...... Glen Coe is beatifil. Our landlord. Of our units, Kenny, who was Scottish. Hes dead now, but he said no birds sing in that valley.... I heard this after I visited there. You'll have to let me know if ya hear any lol..... Apparently there was a HUGE MASACRE ask wavy n bob about it lol.

WATCH YER SPEED , seen undercover cops on sports bikes, with cameras on em..... Speed and they'll have ya..... Just don't wanna earn yerself 60 quid fine and 3 points

will do Stealth, doubt I could speed in my beat up old Escort though!

when you going ? i hope ya get nice weather, although its soo high up there its usually diff to what glasgow weather is i guess ............ when we rode up on motorbikes it was FREEZING................ well, we were piss wet through lol, but when we came down to glasgow it was a nice summers day............ weird up there, theres a ski slope half way along teh glen coe road, dunno its opening times of details etc, check it out.......... glen coe skiiing i guess or summat ?
