Hi all, because of problems with my windows xp, I had to try play css on a linux platform. Reinstall xp gave bsod, also installing older versions (win2000) I installed the latest version of ubuntu: 12.04 and found on youtube people playing css on this platform. Installing steam was no problem, also downloading css from my account. It also placed a shortcut on the screen. Playing: Everything started up as normal, first the connection with steam, then with css till the "valve" guy with that thing on his head. Next a black screen. I heard the clicks when you hit the menu for creating server and that stuff but couldnt see anything. Even the chat went not as it had to be. I continu trying, think that the problem is in the graphic card. When I find more, I ll put it here. Hans ps negotiations with wife started, target is new pc.......lol |

haha negotiations finished with a victory  costs me lot of  for the next days.Thx for the link, Linux is a chaos when you know nothing of it, all their strange names for everything... hans |

I ve found solutions on internet (my ubuntu version was too fresh and had to downgrade some tools) for the issues but you need a certain level of linux-knowledge I dont have.
