anyone done one yet ?

i got a SHED load of oil at work, out of an oil cooled welder, so i'm assuming its non-conductive mineral oil, and its REALLY CLEAN oil.
So, I'm thinking about making my PC oil cooled, i have a spare (really old £20 worth) pc that i can trial it with first. I'm thinking it'd be almost silent, and act as an oil filled radiator in winter LOL :P All i need is a fish tank firstly to try out the oil, old pc, and connections etc.
Anyone tried it out yet ? i'll post pics on here of my trial, and if all goes well with the "spare pc" i'll submerge my gaming pc.
any thoughts ? Also, i might add, that pc clogs up LOTS and very often with parrot dust (google parrot dust:P).

Thanks in advance, and i'd like to hear from someone who's submerged their PC in oil already :)

there was a clip on youtube i remember,
a few points tho:
CPU and grafix fans wont reach their minimum speed due to the oil being thicker than air so you will need to adjust their minimum speed in bios, or even better, remove the fans, use finned heatsinks instead and set the bios minimum fan speed to off. (It's a failsafe if your fan dies).
make sense?

Yer, ok, so ya can disable all fans or reduce speeds to a crawling pace, just to move oil ? I thought ya removed all fans and just put a little pump in to circulate the oil ?

the bios sets a minimum speed for your CPU fan, if it doesn't reach that speed, the PC will never work.
you need to set it to off or disable in bios before you dunk it in oil

You need to remove all fans or they will burn out. And like Davie said, you need finned heat sinks in their place.
Also, check your hard disks very carefully - some have vent holes that allow sections of the drive to breathe air - you don't want them filling up with oil!

Dont you need a fan in it to circulate the oil so that you dont get warm patches?
